11th WORLD CUP INTERNATIONAL martial arts championship

1. PURPOSE:
To develop traditional martial arts, promote various international martial arts styles for mutual exchange of knowledge, correspondence and preservation also to find excellent practitioners of martial arts, traditional medicine, chi kung and Chinese herbal therapists. All of those people are encouraged to make participate for the benefit of the whole society and human health.

7. Qualifications:
1) BARE-HANDED DUEL FIGHT CONTEST ( No restrictions ).
2) OUTSTANDING CELEBRITIES TOP-LEVEL DEMONSTRATION ( with the following qualifications ):
 A. Those who were the winners in national or local district martial arts contest.
B. Those who hold 3rd degree black belt and above, or have been teaching martial arts for more than 5 years.
 C. Those who have achieved international fame and are recognized as martial arts / kung-fu masters.

8. Special Championship Preliminary:
In celebrating the 11th World Cup Martial Arts Championship Preliminary and IMAF 26th Anniversary, the USA headquarter will host all kinds of celebrations in Los Angeles, USA. Members from all over the world are welcome to participate.

10. Preliminaries Contests, PLUS:
1)World Top Level Celebrities Martial Arts Demonstration Selection; 
2)11th World Traditional Medical Conference;     
3)International Judge Seminar and Evaluation;  
 4)Training and Evaluation for Traditional Medicine practitioners.

11. Special“ World Cup” Publication: In order to celebrate the 11th “ World Cup”
Martial Arts Championship, this special color publication will be distributed to the countries around the world, including sponsor organizations, martial arts societies and all the program attendees.  The magazine will be in the following languages: Chinese and English. The contents will include biographies and photos of outstanding martial arts masters and celebrities, etc. We encourage you become a sponsor for the special publication. This will give martial artists an opportunity to communicate and exchange their ideas throughout the world with many other people.

From now to octoBER 30, 2007 ( post marked )

13. Application procedures:
 Fill out our application form and attach three 2-inch photographs together with application fee. If an individual resume is wished to be included in the world cup special publication, please attach one additional martial arts photograph and copies of certificates and qualification documents.
 ◎Those who have the above qualifications are welcome to participate. Upon approval by the committee, they need not attend the preliminary contest.

 (I) All Style Chuan Demonstrations :
 1. Any form category: Kung-Fu / WuShu / KuoShu  / Taekwondo / Karate / open free style, etc.
2. External style: Shao -Lin Chuan / Tai   -Tsu Chuan /Wu-Tang Chuan / Long Fist/Liu-Ho Chuan/ Choy Lai Fut, etc.
 3. Internal style: Tai-Chi Chuan  / Hsing-I Chuan  / Ba-Gua Chuan  / etc.
4. Self-selective items: Long Fist  / Nan Chuan  / Tai-Chi Chuan  / Shaolin Chuan, etc.
 (II) All Kinds of Weapons :
 1. Short Weapons: Dao / Sword / Hook / Stick / Fan / Sai, etc.
2. Long weapons: Staff  / Spear / Kwan Dao / Three Sectional Staff  / Nine Section Whip Chain, etc.
3. Self-selective items: Kwan Knife / Spear Shu  / Staff Shu, etc.
 (III) Chi Kung Demonstration : All kinds of Chi Kung and special abilities, etc.
(IV) Children and youth demonstration competition ; ( grouped by age)
(V) World Top-Level experts demonstration :  combination of item 1, 2 and 3

16. Classes based on participant’s weight:
★ Men Divided into five classes:
 Class 1 ( Light weight ): Under 120 pounds. ( Under 54 kg )
Class 2 ( Middle weight ): 120 lbs to 140 lbs. ( 54 kg – 63 kg )
Class 3 ( Super middle weight ): 140 lbs to 160 lbs. ( 64 kg – 73 kg )
Class 4 ( Heavy weight ): 160 lbs to 180 lbs. ( 74kg – 82kg )
Class 5 ( Super heavy weight ): Above 180 lbs ( 82kg )

★Women Divided into five classes:
 Class 1 ( Light weight ): Under 110 lbs.(Under 50kg )
Class 2 ( Middle weight ): 110 lbs to 130 lbs. (50kg – 59kg )
Class 3 ( Supper middle weight ):130 lbs to150 lbs.(60kg – 67kg )
 Class 4 ( Heavy weight ): 150 lbs to 170 lbs.(68kg – 77kg)
 Class 5 ( Super heavy weight ): Above 170 lbs ( 77kg ) or approval by the committee.

◎ Children and youth Category: Children Group (age under 12 ). Youth Group ( age between 13-17).

◎ Degree Group Duel Fight Competition: 1st- 4th Degree.  over 5th Degree.

17. Awards:  Award the first three places of Individual and Group Demonstration Contest.
 First place:  a “WORLD CUP” Champion Certificate,  Gold Medal and a championship cup.
 Second place:  a “WORLD CUP” Second Place Certificate, Silver Medal and a second place cup.
 Third place:  a “WORLD CUP” Third Place Certificate, Bronze Medal and a third place cup.
 ◎ All participants will be awarded with “world cup” certificates and badges.

18. SPECIAL AWARDS:
WORLD OUTSTANDING MARTIAL ARTS (SPORTS) (TRADITIONAL MEDICINE)  (PUBLIC SERVICE) CONTRIBUTION AWARD
 ◎ All participants who gave special contribution or had excellent achievement will be awarded the for said award item.

19. Remarks:
 1) All groups and individuals attending the contests should report to the championship committee at least one day before the contest, to have weight evaluated and to obtain I.D. cards. Coaches and officials may attend the judges’ conference. Judges will be recommended and selected by the committee from those who attend the conference. Application fee will be detailed in the application form.
 2. The demonstration uniform must be in traditional martial arts dress with belt and soft sports shoes or boots. no restriction for color.
3. Two national flags and group flags are required. One will stay with the group and the other will stand in the gymnasium.
 4. Keep quiet during the contest. No argument is allowed for the judged scores. If a competitor does not show up in 30 seconds after his or her name is called, he or she is disqualified (this applies to groups and individuals).
 ◎ All contest personnel should follow the above code of conduct. Those who violate the codes will be disciplined by the organizing committee

20. .These regulations were made on June 30, 2004 and will be effective upon approval by the corresponding government agencies.
